Although Premium Rate SMS has largely supplanted Premium Rate Voice lines as a method for the ordering and payment of mobile content it remains a useful addition to many retail and off-pack promotions. IVR services can also be used in conjunction with SMS and MMS services as a sign-up and payment method, especially for customers on Pay-As-You-Go mobile accounts that may not have credit available on their phone when they wish to make an impulse purchase.
